This is the latest outline. Actually it turned out to be shorter than my expectation.

I'm still considering to contain more informations. Maybe more examples?

Feel free to give me suggestions, whatever you're interested in knowing. It'll be a huge favor for me. Thank you! ^^

All These Things Mixing Up Together

I found a lot of songs' lyrics, they're all quite good but, I just don't know how to find their similarities and come up with a main idea to study with.

Some people study the relation between songs' lyrics and the society at that period of time.

I can't tell what the society was like from the lyrics I found.

Worse, I can't even understand every one of them. Lyrics are like poems. So hard to understand them clearly.

I tried to put them into groups by their main ideas, so here are 3 of them:

Peace-loving:
 Don't Look in their Eyes
by Stabilo

Positive Thinking:
Sailing Away
by Travis

Telling a Sad Story:
I Know I'm a Wolf
by Young Heretics

And there are still a lot of lyrics that I don't know how to categorize. I'll post them here soon.

Finally, a New Idea

I decided to study about a kind of music called "independent rock"(also known as "indie rock"), which is one of my favorite kind of music.

According to Urban Dictionary, indie rock is different from pop music, which usually makes them not as popular. Indie rock artists usually write their own songs and make music all by themselves.

Sorry, the order is a bit wrong 'cause I can't quite control my cellphone.

Anyway, that's what I've been thinking. And I will also search for more data's about it.

I think the lyrics of indie rock songs are usually better than normal popular songs, which is always about "partying", "touching the sky" or "I'm sorry" kind of stuff. Lyrics may be what I focus on studying. Maybe I can compare different kinds of lyrics and their popularity, then share my favorite ones. I don't know.

Developing A Topic

Actually I'm still working on my topic.

It's already pretty late but, you know.

I was thinking about understanding myself better and stuff, but then I found it kind of
weird to talk about it -- not only in front of everyone, but also to me.

Then I had another idea: how about planting some plants ( same kind of plants, of course ) and play different kinds of music to them while they grow up? For example, I can play some classical music to a green bean, and play Rock n' Roll to another one, then I can see how they would be like when they've grown up. Maybe the bean stock that listened to Rock n' Roll will look funkier than the normal ones! I've always wanted to try this out. I love plants and music, and I'm always curious about how adults often think classical music is better for growing kids.

There are only two problems about this idea: This is more like an science project, and it probably won't work -- I don't know. Also, I can't think of any ways to somehow relate this topic to "myself".

Anyway, these are what I'm thinking about this Project 17 thingy recently.

I really need some advise. Honest.
